Dodgers Complete 3-Year Deal With Ted Lilly
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Pitcher Ted Lilly has signed a three-year deal to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
General manager Ned Colletti said Tuesday that Lilly helped stabilize the Dodgers' rotation after he was acquired in a deal with the Chicago Cubs at the trade deadline.
The 34-year-old left-hander had a 7-4 record with a 3.52 ERA in 12 starts for Los Angeles.
Overall, Lilly was 10-12 with a 3.62 ERA in 30 combined starts with the Dodgers and Cubs.
Lilly won his first five starts with the Dodgers in early August.
He received the lowest run support in the major leagues with 2.88 runs per game.
The two-time All-Star from suburban Torrance recently completed a four-year, $40 million contract and could've become a free agent.
