Dodgers' Bankruptcy Attorneys To Depose Bud Selig, Other MLB Executives

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Dodgers' bankruptcy lawyers will put Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig under oath.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Selig will be deposed in two weeks by lawyers representing Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.

The Dodgers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this week.

The team's lawyers say they want to question the commissioner about his real reasons for investigating the team.

Frank McCourt has claimed the investigation was just a way to force him out. Six other baseball executives will also be deposed.

There's no indication that MLB will try to challenge the depositions.
