Doctors Stress Investing In Sunglasses That Protect Against Sun Damage

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Fashion may be the deciding factor for choosing sunglasses but eye doctors stress that consumers' number one concern should be protecting their eyes from sun damage -- even if it costs more.

Dr. Dana Tannenbaum, a Board-certified ophthalmologist in North Hollywood, told CBS2 that a quality pair of sunglasses should run $100 or more. They should have 100 percent UVA and UVB protection and they should have polarized lenses.
