Disneyland Marks Leap Day With 24-Hour Celebration

ANAHEIM (CBS) — Disneyland is marking leap day with a 24-hour celebration that kicked off at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Thousands camped out overnight in hopes of being among the first 2,000 people in line, who all received limited-edition mouse ears.

One More Disney Day, which will include an extra showing of Fantasmic, will run until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Leap Year occurs every four years to keep the calendar year in synch with the astronomical calendar.

"To me, Leap day is a celebration every four years," a Disneyland fan said. "It's a day that you can live life and live it to the fullest."
