Detectives Probe Suspicious Death Of Inglewood Toddler

INGLEWOOD (CBS) — The death of a 2-year-old girl in Inglewood was under investigation on Thursday by homicide detectives, who say the toddler "died under suspicious circumstances".

The death was reported at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at Centinela Hospital Medical Center, according to the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.

Girl's Relative Interviewed By Police: KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou Reports

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department statement said the girl "was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead."

Details on what events preceded the girl's arrival at Centinela Hospital were not immediately disclosed.
