Deputy Injured In Rollover Crash On 14 Freeway In Acton

ACTON (CBSLA.com) — A female deputy was injured early Monday morning in a rollover crash in Acton.

The accident happened just after 4:30 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway at the Santiago Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The unidentified deputy was returning to the Palmdale station after taking an inmate to a regional detention facility when the vehicle rolled at least one time.

The CHP temporarily shut down the freeway while she was being rescued. The SigAlert was canceled just before 7:30 a.m.

The deputy was transported to Henry Mayo Hospital in unknown condition, according to officials.

The accident was under investigation.
