Big Rig Crash Sets All Lanes Of Westbound 10 Freeway On Fire In Montclair

MONTCLAIR (CBS) — All lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway were on fire Tuesday after a big rig crashed near the Monte Vista Avenue exit in Montclair.

Just after 11 p.m. witnesses reported seeing the truck hit the center divider of the freeway, causing the divider to burst into flames. Several explosions were reported.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol were on the scene.

The freeway was shut down entirely around 11:30 p.m. The eastbound side of the freeway was backed up to the 57 Freeway.

The driver of the truck was reportedly able to exit the vehicle.

At least one person was reported injured.

The truck involved was initially reported as a diesel tanker.
