DA Declines To Charge Redlands Wife In Killing Of Her Husband

REDLANDS ( — A High Desert woman arrested in what police suspected was a love triangle killing of her husband will not faces charges, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Thursday that they did not have enough evidence to prove Sabrina Limon, 35, was responsible for the shooting death in August of her husband Robert Limon, 38.

Police on Wednesday said Sabrina Limon was romantically involved with Redlands firefighter/paramedic Jonathan Hearn, 24.

Hearn was a firefighter since 2012, authorities said.

After the killing, Sabrina Limon posted several messages of love for her late husband on social media, but detectives said they believed the messages were posted simply to throw them off her trail.

Stacey Butler reported from Rialto Thursday where she spoke to Lydia Marrero, Robert Limon's sister.

Marrero says she cannot believe the DA declined to file charges against her sister-in-law at this time.

"If she's innocent, then you know, she's going to go on with her life. But if she's guilty, it really breaks my heart that she brought this kind of brokenness to our family, to her family," says Marrero.

Marrero is shattered by her brother's murder and upset about the DA's decision.

"I'm not a hateful person, but I'm very angry," she says.

Hearn remains in custody for the murder.

Marrero said the thing she misses most about her brother is his presence in her life.

"Him coming giving us hugs. He was like this big grizzly," she said, choking back tears. "Whatever it takes, I want my brother to get justice."

Marrero also told Butler she believed her brother and his wife were very happy.

The Limons have two young children. Marrero believes they had been staying with Sabrina's sister but suspects they are now home with their mom.
