Cyclist Run Over, Killed In Boyle Heights Is Identified As Maywood Man
BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA) — A bicyclist killed after being run over by a vehicle in Boyle Heights has been identified.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Jaime Ramirez of Maywood. He was seen on security video lane splitting between a car and a truck.
It's not clear whether Ramirez was hit or whether he lost control.
Investigators say the truck driver may not have known that the cyclist fell under his rear wheels.
Late Sunday, officials told CBS2/KCAL9 that the truck driver has been identified and he was being cooperative.
They did not reveal his name or say whether he was aware of the accident.
