High-speed California Highway Patrol pursuit in San Fernando Valley ends in crash

A high-speed California Highway Patrol pursuit ended in a crash in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday afternoon.

The CHP said the driver was wanted for traveling through a police break. SkyCal flew over the pursuit where the driver could be seen traveling at speeds over 90 mph on the southbound 5 Freeway.

The crash came to an end around 12:18 p.m. when a patrol unit crashed into the car on Hollywood Way and Winona Avenue near the Burbank Airport.

Officers exited their cars with their guns drawn and, after a few minutes, took the driver into custody.
