Celebrate National Dog Day Friday!

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Friday is the 26th annual National Dog Day!

The holiday "serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort," according to the National Dog Day website.

To celebrate, celebrity groomer Marco Laulau and Michelle Harris of St. Marten's Pet Rescue visited the KCAL 9 studios.

Lalau is owner of Bubbles Pet Spa and cast member of Bravo's "Groomer Has It."

Harris is from St. Marten's Pet Rescue and is on Ion Life's New Green Show "Alive & Well." She also brought along several adoptable dogs.
