Body Found In Arizona Positively Identified As Missing Newport Beach Doc
TUCSON (AP) — A body found on the property of a southern Arizona rehabilitation and psychiatric center has been positively identified as a California doctor who walked away from the facility last month.
The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office on Friday positively identified the body of 71-year-old Kenneth Litwack.
The Newport Beach surgeon checked himself into the Sierra Tucson facility on Aug. 12. He was reported missing four days later with his wallet, watch and cellphone left behind in his room.
A badly decomposed body was discovered Tuesday near a stable in a remote area of the Sierra Tucson's property north of the Pima County border in Pinal County.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says there's no evidence of foul play.
Sierra Tucson officials confirm a patient went missing, but won't discuss Litwack's case.
