Big Rig, Sedan Collide On 5 Freeway In Downey
DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — Sand was spilled across the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Downey after a big rig collided with a sedan Thursday morning in Downey.
The crash between the semi and a Honda Accord was first reported at 5:35 a.m. in the left lane of the Golden State (5) Freeway at the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A SigAlert was declared at 6 a.m.

Authorities say two left lanes will be blocked for six hours for guardrail and equipment repair.
