This year's LA summer concert schedule is truly a jaw-dropper whether you're a fan of hip-hop, metal, country, and everything in between.

It's going to be a night of songs, laughter, and possibly some tears during "Bowie in Space" as Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement land at the Greek Theatre for their first LA headlining show in six years. The musical comedy twosome and former HBO stars promise to dust off the hits and debut some brand new tunes. Perhaps a Prince tribute is in order?

Shrine Auditorium
665 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90007
(213) 748-5116
Date: August 4, 8, 2016 at 7pm

Radiohead could have played the Rose Bowl (If Coldplay can sell it out for two nights, surely Radiohead can) but instead they opted for the relatively intimate confines of the Shrine to make their long-anticipated Los Angeles return. The band is touring in support of their mysterious new album so who knows what in store except that it will be amazing. Expect to hear new hits, as well as some of their favorite older songs that will bring you back in time.

Staples Center
1111 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA 90015
(213) 742-7340
Date: August 5-6, 9-10, 12-13, 2016 at 7:30pm

This is the undisputed golden ticket of 2016. Adele's "25" has already sold over eight million albums in an era where artists can barely crack seven figures. So, it's no wonder her six arena shows sold out in an instant. For those unwilling to pay the astronomical secondary market prices, tickets have been re-released for other shows on the tour so don't lose hope.

Guns N' Roses
Dodger Stadium
1000 Elysian Park Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90012
(323) 224-1507
Date: August 18, 2016 at 6:30pm

Will Axl be upright? Will the band still be together? Will Izzy finally be found? Those questions and more will be answered when Mr. Rose, Slash, Duff, and some other guys bring their "Not In This Lifetime..." tour to Dodger Stadium. Even with a lead singer sitting on a throne with a broken foot, the band still dominated Coachella, so who knows what's in store by the time August rolls around. Welcome to the jungle!

Kendrick Lamar

FYF Fest
Exposition Park
700 Exposition Park Dr.
Los Angeles, CA 90037
Dates: August 27-28, 2016

Over the past several years, the FYF Fest has evolved from a Coachella aperitif to a full blown main event. In fact, this might just be the downtown festival's best lineup ever, with headliners like Tame Impala, the newly reunited LCD Soundsystem, Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar along with an eclectic lineup of dozens of other artists.

Date: September 14, 2016 at 7pm

Don't let the end of "American Idol" bring you down. Celebrate its legacy with the show's G.O.A.T., country megastar Carrie Underwood. Let's face it, If anyone knows how to impress a live crowd, it's the woman who did it week after week for an audience of millions. Underwood, who has proven her worth since the show, has spit out hit after hit since. So, concert-goers are likely to hear her best hits one after another.

Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath
Hollywood Bowl
2301 Highland Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90068
(323) 850-2000
Date: September 19, 2016 at 7:30pm

This is the end (probably) for the self-proclaimed "greatest metal band of all time" (definitely). They may be without drummer Bill Ward but Ozzy, Tony and Geezer still know how to melt faces with classics like "War Pigs" and "Paranoid." Don't miss the last opportunity (probably) to experience Sabbath in three-fourths of its glory.
