Alleged Police Impersonator Charged With Sexual Assault For 2nd Time This Month
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police say Pedram Mehrian, a Los Angeles man who they suspected in a sexual assault earlier this month, has been arrested for the same crime again. He is being held on $1 million bail.
Police arrested Mehrian for the first time two weeks ago.
They say in both cases, he allegedly flashed a badge and then handcuffed a woman before committing a sexual assault.
In the latest case, police say he answered a woman's Internet ad where she offered her services as an escort.
Police are also investigating a third crime that occurred in May and seeing if Mehrian was also responsible.
UPDATE 3/2/20: According to Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Mehrian pleaded no contest to two counts of False Imprisonment in 2013. Other charges were dismissed as a result of a negotiated plea.
