Actor Joe Pantoliano Speaking Out About Mental Illness

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Celebrated actor Joe Pantoliano visited the KCAL9 studios on Monday to discuss the release of his book, "ASYLUM: Hollywood Tales from My Great Depression: Brain Dis-Ease, Recovery, and Being My Mother's Son."

Pantoliano, who is known for his roles on "The Sopranos," "The Matrix" and "The Groonies" (to name a few), has taken on a new role as an activist working to stop the stigma attached to mental illness or as he refers to it, brain dis-ease.

Those seeking to have their copy of his book signed may meet the Emmy-award winner in the flesh at the Barnes & Noble at 1201 3rd Street Promenade on May 30, at 7 p.m.
