Aaron Harang Sets Dodgers Strikeout Record
LOS ANGELES (CBS) -- Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Aaron Harang has broken Johnny Podres' club-record for consecutive strikeouts , by whiffing nine Padres in a row.
Harang fell one strikeout short of the MLB record set by Tom Seaver in 1970 when Will Venable hit a homer to LF to start the fourth inning.
The Dodgers beat the Padres 9-8, improving to 7-1 on the season.
