8 Arrested After Deputies Serve Narcotics-Related Search Warrant In Perris

PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — Deputies have arrested eight people after serving a narcotics-related warrant at a home in the city of Perris.

Sheriff's deputies said in a written statement that members of a drug task force served the warrant at the residence in the 1700 block of Opal Drive on Saturday afternoon around 3:05 p.m.

During their search, deputies allegedly recovered several pounds of liquid and crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm.

"In addition, multiple subjects at the residence were on felony probation and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance," the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The accused were identified as: 30-year-old Ulices Mendoza, 26-year-old Lena Amparan, 43-year-old Richard Moore, 24-year-old Carlos Martin, 36-year-old Raul Lopez, 33-year-old Alberto Alvarez, 34-year-old Jaime Mojica, and 21-year-old Brooke Coates.

Each of the eight were booked on suspicion of maintaining a drug house, possession of methamphetamine for sale, conspiracy and other charges.
