6 Including 3 Kids Saved After Boat Sinks In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (AP) — Firefighters rescued six people including two children and a baby whose boat had sunk off Long Beach.
A Fire Department statement says the 36-foot power boat was about 2 ½ miles from shore Thursday night when it started sinking, and the six people were able to get to a bait barge until two rescue boats came.
The firefighters took the six people back to safety and were able to save the sinking boat and tow it back.
