2 Men Wanted In Connection With Tire Iron Assault In Oxnard
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday said they were searching for two men who allegedly struck a man several times in the face with a tire iron.
A statement issued by the Oxnard Police Department says the victim, identified as 48-year-old Ruben Perez Hernandez, was found by officers lying face down. The discovery at the corner of Oxnard Boulevard and Seventh Street was made about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
The statement said witnesses told officers that the victim had been assaulted by two male suspects.
The first was described as medium build. He is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds. He was seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
The second man had a thin build and is 5-feet, 5-inches tall.
The statement said one of the suspects was seen getting into a white Mercedes while the second possibly entered a dark-colored GMC Yukon.
Hernandez was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
