2 Small Earthquakes Rattle Northern Riverside County
INDIO (CBS) — A pair of small earthquakes struck a section of northern Riverside County Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A magnitude-3.0 temblor hit at 4:45 a.m., nine miles northeast of Indio. A second earthquake was recorded 30 seconds later, almost at the same spot, with a magnitude of 3.1.
There were no initial reports of injuries or damage, according to a USGS report.
