2 Men Shot, Killed Outside Van Nuys Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Two men were shot and killed outside a home in Van Nuys, and police are searching for the shooter.

The shooting was reported just before 11:30 p.m. outside a home on Wyandotte near Sepulveda Boulevard.

Officers arrived to find one man lying on top of another man on the front porch of the home, according to the LAPD. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Neither man has been identified.

One of the men reportedly lived at the home. Investigators say they have found marijuana inside the house, and zip ties on the street, and are looking into the possibility of a late-night robbery gone wrong.

"We do not know the particulars, whether they were coming and going or whether the suspects were here if they arrived or at the same time," LAPD Commander Alan Hamilton said.

Witnesses told police they heard an argument on the front porch of the home before hearing gunshots. Three to four males in ski masks were seen running away and getting into a silver sedan parked on the street, according to witness reports. The sedan was last seen driving east on Wyandotte Street.

Neighbors said they had been concerned about the house due to the number of high-end vehicles that frequented the home and people always coming and going.
