More Summertime Weather Ahead

OVERALL PATTERN STAYING SAME WITH ONLY SPOT STORM CHANCES UNTIL SUNDAY

Sunshine in our North Texas skies this morning and quiet nice change after Monday morning's fog and Tuesday morning's clouds.  We have some changes in the forecast with timing and location of rain chances.  Overall, staying on the warm side with temps close to the 80 degree mark through Monday.

TODAY

Ample sunshine is expected even as a weak frontal boundary slowly sags southward from the Red River.  As temperatures warm today, the front will serve as a trigger mechanism for an isolated shower or storm.   While no severe weather is forecast, there is the possibility of a strong storm producing gusty winds, small hail and lightning.  Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.  Rain chance 20-30%.  High: 82°  Wind: SE 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT

Any isolated shower or storm activity will be gone by 7 PM with partly cloudy skies for the early evening hours.  Skies become cloudy overnight with the cloud deck lowering for tomorrow morning's commute.  Some haze and sprinkles are possible and even a spot shower.  Rain chance 20%.  Low:  63°  Wind: SE 10-15 mph.

THURSDAY

The morning cloud deck will disperse through the morning hours and it will become mostly sunny, breezy and warmer.  High: 84°  Wind: S 10-20 mph.

FRIDAY

Again, clouds are expected to develop Thursday night for Friday morning's commute.  A spot shower is possible as well with partly cloudy skies developing through the afternoon.  Showers and storms will be prevalent for western parts of North Texas, not including the Metroplex.  Windy and warm conditions will continue.  Rain chance 20-30% mainly west.  High: 80°  Wind: S 15-25 mph.

SATURDAY

Mostly cloudy with isolated to scattered showers and storms from the Metroplex westward.  Rain chances 30-40%.  High: 80°  Wind: S 15-25 mph.

SUNDAY

Cloudy with scattered showers and storms from the Metroplex westward.  Severe storms are possible with large hail, damaging winds and frequent lightning possible.  Rain chances 50%.  High: 79°  Wind: S 15-25 mph.

MONDAY

Cloudy with periods of showers and storms over most of North Texas.  Locally heavy rainfall and severe storms possible.  Large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning and flash flooding possible.  Rain chances 70%.  High: 74°  Wind: S 10-20 mph.
