Moment 16: Staubach's Playoff Game Rally

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Roger Staubach spent most of the Dallas Cowboys 1972 playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers on the bench, watching as his opponents took control of the contest. But when Staubach replaced Craig Morton, things changed.
The 49ers led 28-16 with just under two minutes left in the game, when Staubach engineered a 55-yard scoring drive that ended with a 20-yard touchdown to Billy Parks.
Cowboys kicker Toni Fritsch unveiled one of the most unique onside kickoffs, when he overstepped the ball with is right foot and kicked the ball with his left foot. Mel Renfro corralled the loose ball for Dallas, giving Staubach a chance to finish the rally.

Trailing with a score of 28-23, Staubach led the Cowboys on their final drive. A 21-yard scramble by the Cowboys quarterback set Dallas up in striking distance, and Staubach sealed the come-from-behind win with a 10-yard touchdown to Ron Sellers.
Staubach rallied Dallas to the 30-28 victory. It is the 16th greatest moment in Cowboys history.
