DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - It's the most famous guarantee in Dallas Cowboys history.

"We will win the ballgame, and you can put it in three-inch headlines. We will win the ballgame."

That was the bold proclamation that Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson made on Randy Galloway's sports radio show on WBAP, three days before the Cowboys were to host the San Francisco 49ers in the 1994 NFC Championship game.

"After I said it, I didn't think it would be that big a deal," Johnson recalled in an interview with CBS 11 Sports. "Little did I know it would cause such an uproar. The next day, everybody was going crazy."

The Cowboys made sure that their head coach was on point. With Emmitt Smith and Troy Aikman leading the charge, the Cowboys built a 21-point halftime lead on their way to a 38-21 victory -- adding to the legend and legacy of Jimmy Johnson.

"I think, by winning that game -- and having the credibility to say we are going to go out and win this game -- it got me a little cockier after that," laughed Johnson.
