Open since 1996, Glamour Paws is an all-natural pet boutique, grooming salon, and pet photo studio near TCU. They employ six full-time groomers along with other staff. Their service is friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. They work with all breeds, and while prices vary, they remain affordable. Glamour Paws will treat your cats as the kings or queens they know themselves to be.

Crazy Cat Thing: Get your cat groomed in the lion's mane style! That means your cat's fur gets cut short everywhere except for a powerful mane around the neck. The lions at the Fort Worth Zoo will be no match for your pet after this.

Dallas's Cat Connection focuses on felines. They sell everything from kitty litter to cat lover gifts, and they also offer boarding and grooming services. The offline side of the business opened in 1990. It's the central clearinghouse for cat goodies in North Texas; if you need cat experts, this is the place to go.

Crazy Cat Thing: Purchase one of the stroller-like cat carriers available in the shop to take your cat for a walk around the neighborhood, park, or anywhere else you can imagine!

While Marshall Grain Co. might be better known as a feed shop for barnyard animals and as a serious resource for organic gardening and more, the two retail shops also sell plenty of toys and supplies for cats. Marshall Grain Co. has been in Fort Worth since 1914. It's a raw and real place with some genuinely interesting cat toys. By the way, the two cats at the Grapevine locations are named Marsha and Marshall!

Crazy Cat Thing: Amuse your pet with "Da Bird Cat Toy." It's a serious instrument of fun, with a 36" fiberglass rod, 50 lb. braided nylon string, and "aerodynamically configured feathers" to mimic a real bird's flight. Also fun for humans.

Odyssey Pets opened in 2006 to offer pet grooming, pet products, and more. On Saturdays they host Rowlett Animal Rescue. Odyssey Pets also specializes in aquariums, but don't let your cat know that!

Crazy Cat Thing: Sherry Redwine here will make a charcoal drawing of your cat! Dimensions are usually 20" by 30", but she can make the pictures smaller, too. Her charcoals usually cost around $250.

Kitty Wigs started in 2007 as an online business run by two women in North Texas. The wigs became so popular that they scored a book deal; you can now find out how to buy Glamourpuss: The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs through the website -- as well as how to buy the wigs! (The book is also available in Japanese and Korean.) Like cats, the wigs are a reminder not to take life too seriously.

Crazy Cat Thing: The Pink Passion wigs are the most popular -- what are you waiting for?
