For much of the season, the Detroit Lions teased their fans with signs of greatness, but in the end, it was all a mirage.
Despite some amazing gameplay this season, it was the same ol' Lions that showed up in their playoffs loss against Seattle, falling 26-6.

The Detroit Lions may be happy to have the 2015 season over with as they were already eliminated from the playoffs, but the second half wasn't too bad. A win over the Chicago Bears in the season finale had them 6-2 through the final eight games and that's not too shabby.

The Detroit Lions have had a season that no-one is really proud of and that includes the owner of the team. That being said, it appears a message is being sent that everyone needs to keep working and that's why players won't be rested for the season finale even though the playoffs aren't a possibility.

The Detroit Lions have certainly bounced back from the team that many thought may go without a win this season. Against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, they showed the talent that fans knew they have had this entire year.

Pre-Cooter, the Lions averaged 68 yards on the ground per game. Post-Cooter, they're averaging 100.7 a game.

The Lions are already guaranteed their third losing season in four, although they did win 11 games just one season ago.
With four games still to play, Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford was asked if this is his most frustrating season.
"That's crazy, but it just shows that the game is not over until there are zero seconds on the clock and even sometimes then, it's not over."
