New England and Baltimore are developing an impressive postseason rivalry.
NFL Wildcard weekend has been a fun ride, as per usual, filled with tough defense and a few phenomenal plays. The Indianapolis Colts took care of the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon, meaning a matchup between Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos and his former team.
Arguably the Cincinnati Bengals' best player, wide receiver A.J. Green is iffy for Sunday's playoff game in Indianapolis against the Colts. He didn't practice on Friday and hasn't cleared the league's concussion protocol after suffering the injury in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Green can't go, the pressure might double for the Bengals to win their first postseason contest since 1990.
The Indianapolis Colts will face the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild card week of the 2014 NFL Playoffs without A.Q. Shipley and Hugh Thornton on the offensive line.
The Cincinnati Bengals haven't won an NFL playoff game since January 6, 1990. They beat the Houston Oilers—right there, that tells you it was a long time ago—by a 41-14 score in the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs. Since then, the Bengals have lost all five postseason contests they've played in. That needs to change this weekend.
The Indianapolis Colts haven't forgotten their last meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals in week seven of the 2014 regular season, and look to capitalize on Bengals letdown.
It's not very often that a left tackle makes a TD grab.
The Colts went up 24-0 in the first quarter this Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup. Could've been another blowout, but the Texans made of game of it.
Colts-Texans could come down to a last-second field goal, and it appears to be an excellent week to play perhaps the greatest placekicker in NFL history in the Colts' Adam Vinatieri.
Could this be it-the first competitive Thursday night game of the 2014 NFL season? The Colts visit Houston as just a three-point favorite, and both teams are 3-2, so at the risk of being the Mary Swanson to your Lloyd Christmas, I'm saying there's a chance.
The Houston Texans are looking better in 2014 and the Indianapolis Colts have turned things around after a slow start to the year. Former NFL quarterback and CBS analyst Chris Simms took time to talk to me about the upcoming AFC South battle on Thursday Night Football, and he had some great things to say.
Philadelphia made all the right calls Monday night.
Let's take a look at the five best teams in the NFL heading into the 2014 season.
Hobbled by injuries, the Indianapolis Colts hope (wide receiver) Hakeem Nicks can contribute with the type of production that catapulted the New York Giants to a Super Bowl championship in 2012.
Here is a list of five players who will have a bounce back season.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne has earned a reputation for his flashy training camp arrivals and this year was no different. In keeping with tradition, Wayne stepped up his training camp arrival game.
We all have favorite teams. But some team names just don't make any sense, like these...
The Colts signed 19 undrafted free agents Sunday including former Ohio State offensive lineman Marcus Hall.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said Monday.
Cooter's tenure with the Colts overlapped that of new Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, who was head coach of Indianapolis in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Jim Caldwell's body of work put him in a position to get another chance to be an NFL coach.
"I think people are going to be happy that he's their coach in the next couple years."
The Indianapolis Colts were hoping to not end up having to come from behind in another huge deficit this week. Well, they didn't have to until they got to the fourth quarter and the New England Patriots opened it up.
My hands may be white from all the chalk I pick, you know there will be one supreme surprise this week. But where? Since we went 3-1 last week - losing with the wretched Bengals, like everyone else - let's try our hand at the most heavenly weekend of a most horrible winter.
