According to the gasoline price website DetroitGasPrices.com, average retail gas prices in Detroit have risen just over 5 cents per gallon in the past week, and are now averaging $3.54 a gallon in the Motor City.
Gas prices have fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the past week, but one petroleum analyst says the national average will still come close to breaking a record - which would be the highest ever national average for Thanksgiving.
