Woman Stabbed To Death During Disagreement At Apartment Complex In Redford
REDFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Police say one person is in custody after a woman was stabbed to death at a Redford Township apartment complex.
The incident unfolded around 8 p.m. Monday at a multi-family home inside the Lola Park Manor apartments on 5 Mile Road between Telegraph and Beech Daly roads.
Police say they were called to the home to check on the well-being of a 46-year-old woman and arrived to find her dead. A 44-year-old man who lives at the home was taken into custody. According to reports, the woman was fatally stabbed during a disagreement with the suspect.
Police have not released further details on the suspect, although a neighbor told WWJ's Mike Campbell that the victim's boyfriend was taken away in handcuffs.
Other circumstances surrounding the incident weren't immediately clear. Names of those involved have not yet been released.
Nicole Davis, who has lived in the complex for about a year, said she was shocked by the scene.
"It's very quiet. This is the most that has, you know, it's just like 'Oh my God! What is going on?' But yeah," she said.
