ToolWorx Releases Video Case Study

Brighton-based ToolWorx Information Products has released the first ToolWorx Smart Printing case study video featuring Brighton-based Transtar Autobody Technologies, a Brighton auto body refinishing products manufacturer.

Transtar is a ToolWorx customer that is using an Intermec Smart Printer (along with a PCM/Image-Tek applicator) running ToolWorx SmartPack software to error-proof its packaging process.

The end result was a significant reduction in packing errors and wasted time along with the added benefits of more accurate inventory as the products were scanned through the system.

The video is currently on the ToolWorx Web site at www.toolworx.com/products/eoleps.asp or the Intermec Web site at www.intermec.com/public-files/videos/en/csTranstar_web.wmv.

Founded in 1997, ToolWorx is a developer of automated data collection applications, specializing in lot/part traceability and error proofing. Its flagship product suite, ToolWorx Bridge, gives companies the ability to accurately collect information from the shop floor, warehouse or out in the field using barcodes, radio frequency identification tags or programmable logic controllers. The collected information is integrated real-time with a customer's internal enterprise business systems. The company says it can customize and install a system in less than 30 days.
