Time To Reserve Shelters For Belle Isle Picnics

DETROIT (WWJ) - If you want some of the best seats in the house for a summer picnic on Belle Isle, better make your move now.

The Detroit Recreation Department is taking picnic shelter reservations starting Monday, at the Belle Isle Casino. They'll handle July bookings first, and the city wants payment in full, when you put your name in. Money order or a cashiers check are fine, but no cash or personal checks.

On Tuesday, August reservations will be accepted, then May, June and September dates on Wednesday.
