Tigers' Spring Opener Set For Feb. 26
The sun came out late this morning when the Tigers announced their spring training schedule for next year.
They will open Grapefruit League play on Saturday, Feb. 26, against host Toronto in Dunedin, Fla. The next afternoon, the Blue Jays will travel to Lakeland for the Tigers' home opener at Joker Marchant Stadium.
And the next day, Monday, Feb. 28, the Yankees will visit Lakeland. That will mark the only time next spring that the Yankees play in Lakeland, where their visits tend to pack the stands and the left-field berm.
