Three Degrees Of Pat Caputo

The three best plays in baseball.
1.The Triple - The ball goes up the gap. The outfielder chases it. Will the runner round second base and go to third? When he does, will the outfielder make a good throw to the infielder? Will the infielder then make a good relay throw to third? All that - and it's usually still a bang-bang play when the runner slides into third.
2. A 3-2 breaking ball that buckles the knees of the hitter for a called strike three. The helpless look on the face of the hitter, who was guessing fastball, is priceless.
3. The bomb. So they over do it on the highlight shows; there is still nothing like seeing a big-time power hitter deliver a majestic home run at the stadium. The ball seems to hang in the air forever.
