Three Degrees Of Pat Caputo
Three emotions I felt Tuesday when they led Kwame Kilpatick off in handcuffs:
1. Joy. He had made a total mockery of the justice system, and I was pleased it was brought to an abrupt halt.
2. Sadness. Kwame Kilpatrick is a skilled politician, who used his considerable abilities more for wrong than right. He could have done so much good, not only for the city, but this region, if he had applied those skills properly.
3. Hope. Maybe this will bring some sort of closure, and Detroit and Southeastern Michigan will move forward to a brighter tomorrow without this kind of corruption in government.
