The Wrong Way To Start The Football Season

By: Sara

When football players have nightmares, they may look a little like what happened with a Kent State player Thursday night. Kent State was showing Towson who's boss in the first half of their season opener, but the only thing people will remember from that game is when Andre Parker started running the wrong way. After Kent State punted to Towson, the ball touched the returner, making it live. For reasons known only to Parker's misfiring brain, after he recovered the ball at the seven, Parker ran 58 yards in the wrong direction!

Not to be outdone, Towson stepped up to the stupidity club and two players tackled Parker inside the 30. Let him keep going! Lucky for Kent State, the refs eventually realized they should have called the play dead, and that is what they ended up doing. Hopefully we won't see any shenanigans like that during the Michigan and Michigan State games this weekend.
