DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police are looking for at least one suspect after a woman was shot and killed outside an apartment house on the city's east side.

WWJ spoke with a neighbor who said she saw and heard what happened.

"I thought it was gunshots -- looked out the window and saw the perpetrator running," she said.

Witnesses said the victim was a black female, in her 30s.

Another woman, who  lives near the murder scene on East Grand Boulevard near Jefferson, said she's had enough of the violence in the city.

"It's too much drama. It's the city of Detroit. This is what we go through," she said.

Officers were scouring the area  near the Belle Isle bridge. Police did not immediately have a motive.

Police are talking with witnesses as the investigation continues.
