Suspect Sought In Critical Stabbing
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for help from the public in their search for a man who stabbed and robbed a senior citizen.
Police said a 64-year-old mas was walking out of a gas station on the Lodge Service Drive when he was attacked, early on a Saturday morning.
Police said no one tried to help the man as he was chased back inside the building, stabbed, beaten and robbed of some cash.
The victim was hospitalized in critical condition. His name has not been released.
The suspect is a black male, possibly in his 20s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black sweat shirt with a hood, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black baseball cap with a red bill. (See still photo above, taken from a surveillance video).
Police said he should be considered dangerous and possibly armed.
