This week on Street Beat, helping our neighbors in need is the goal of the four organizations featured on today's show.

Host Rob Stone talks with Karen Myers, the Executive Director of the Open Door Outreach Center and Resale Store, about feeding the hungry and assisting the poor.

Then, Dr. Melvyn Rubenfire and Karen Rubenfire, the founders of Project Healthy Community, talk about how their non-profit is improving the lives of people in Northwest Detroit.

Next, David Clayton, the Youth Coordinator for Families Against Narcotics, helps those suffering with or supporting people with addictions.

Finally, Craig Sharum, the Easterseals Michigan Director of Communications, and Steve Windom, the Area Director for Michigan for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, discuss mental health issues and opioid addiction.
