Solid State Lighting Group Back With Second Symosium
The Michigan Solid-State Lighting Association will hold a free full-day symposium on solid state lighting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday Nov. 10.
This is an opportunity to see innovative products and learn about solid state lighting opportunities. You will also have a chance to hear about key issues relative to implementation. There will be various solid-state lighting companies from our home state.
The MSSLA was formed in 2009 in response to the growing opportunity for next generation lighting companies in the state of Michigan to have a positive impact on the local economy and the global environment. Since inception, the membership has grown to twenty-three members and includes manufacturers, consultants, designers, higher education, and government. This diverse group will allow symposium participants to get great insight into the capabilities and opportunities for SSL from our great state.
In addition to exhibits, this symposium will include speakers on a range of solid-state lighting topics including key contract issues and solutions, Energy Star and SSL, utility energy optimization incentive programs, comparing and contrasting LED and HID; public funding for LED applications and more.
The event is intended for facilities managers, engineers, architects, municipalities, electrical contractors, electrical distsributors, lighting designers and others.
