Snow Emergencies Declared
Several Southeast Michigan cities are declaring snow emergencies, meaning people have to keep their cars and trucks off city streets.
These went into effect Tuesday:
Auburn Hills --and will be no parking on Auburn Rd. in the downtown area after 10 tonight.
Berkley (effective 11pm Feb 1 to 11pm Feb 3)
Birmingham
Bloomfield Twp.
Brownstown Township (6p Feb1 to 6p Feb3)
Center Line
Dearborn
Dearborn Heights
Eastpointe (All City Buildings will be closed except for police and fire)
Ferndale
Flat Rock
Fraser
Garden City
Grosse Pointe Farms
Hazel Park -- starts tomorrow morning
Huntington Woods
Inkster
Lincoln Park
Livonia
Madison Heights
Marine City
Mt. Clemens
Monroe
Oak Park
Redford Township
Riverview
Rochester Hills
Rockwood
Royal Oak
Shelby Township
St. Clair Shores (noon)

Also, in Livonia, officials say trash collection will be delayed as of Wednesday for one day for the rest of the week. In Southfield trash and recycling pickup for Wednesday has been cancelled.

Accuweather says there is the potential for up to 18 inches of snowfall in Metro Detroit. A Blizzard Warning is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
