Reserve Police Officer Surprises Thieves At His Own Home
DETROIT (WWJ) - An off-duty Highland Park reserve police officer had a surprise upon his return home this weekend... two thieves in the process of ransacking his house.
It was shortly after 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon when the unidentified officer returned to his home on Cliff Street, near Eight Mile Road and Van Dyke on Detroit's east side... finding the men inside.
Shots were fired and the men escaped. Detroit Police say it is unknown if either may have been injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
