Report: Other Finalists For Airport CEO Position Had More Experience

DETROIT (WWJ) - The new Detroit Metro Airport CEO, is at the center of a controversy over a $200,000 severance package she had to repay Wayne County ... beat out five finalists for her new job -- most of whom had more airport management experience.

The Detroit News, through a Freedom of Information Act request, is reporting Turkia Mullin-- the former Wayne County Economic Development chief-- has no prior airport administrative experience.

Her appointment, and the severance she received from Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano, have been drawn into question.  On Thursday, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy requested the state Attorney General look into the matter.
