Police: Girl, 2, Wounded In Shooting While Inside Home

DETROIT (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old girl has been wounded by gunfire while sitting at a table inside her Detroit home.

Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody says girl was shot in the buttock Sunday on the city's east side. The Detroit News reports she was taken to a hospital and was listed in temporary serious condition.

Woody says adults in the home reported gunfire came through a wall. WDIV-TV reports police say, however, the shot may have come from inside the home.

The shooting is under investigation.
