Pistons Rally To Win 2nd Straight
After trailing for nearly all of the fourth quarter, the Pistons completed a stirring comeback. Detroit, playing without Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince, rode the backcourt tandem of Ben Gordon and Will Bynum, who combined for 39 points. The Pistons overcame an 18-4 run by Atlanta midway through the third quarter.
One night after breaking an 11-game losing streak, the Pistons won their second in a row, largely because of superior energy down the stretch. The Hawks had a chance to tie, but former Wolverine Jamal Crawford, who has hit a few game-winners of late, missed a three-point attempt.
