NHTSA Opening Investigation Into 400k Ford F-150 Trucks
DETROIT (AP) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say it is opening a preliminary investigation into more than 400,000 2011-to-2013 model year Ford F-150 trucks for possible acceleration problems.
NHTSA says it has received 95 reports of incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations in F-150 trucks equipped with 3.5L gasoline turbocharged direct injection engines.
A third of the reports occurred when drivers were traveling in humid or rainy conditions.
