Miss USA Returns To Michigan
Miss USA Rima Fakih has returned to her hometown for a series of events.
The 24-year-old from Dearborn marks her first visit back to Michigan since being crowned May 16 with multiple events, including public and private receptions Thursday at Detroit Medical Center. She most recently worked there as a marketing representative.
Fakih will attend a fundraiser Friday at Detroit's Westin Book-Cadillac Hotel. She's also scheduled to receive a key to the city of Dearborn Saturday and give a talk aimed at young people.
Fakih was born in Lebanon and moved to the U.S. as a baby. She was raised in New York and moved to Michigan in 2003.
Since being crowned, she's toured the world. She'll represent the U.S. in the Miss Universe contest in August.
