Man Looking To Travel With Woman Who Has Same Name As Ex Finds His Match

Usually when you are involved in a break up you don't want to even hear the other person's name again -- at least that's how I feel.

But one man has a completely different take.

A Toronto man made the news last month by offering a trip around the world to a woman -- any woman -- who had the same name as his ex.

According to The New York Post, 28-year-old Jordan Axani had a trip booked for around the world for himself and his then-girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher.

Since the plane ticket had a no-transfer policy attached to it, Axani posted on Reddit an offer to replace Gallagher with another woman of the same name.

He reportedly received thousands of emails in response -- hey, a free trip's a free trip -- and 18 actual Elizabeth Gallaghers responded.

He chose one who actually has a boyfriend and according to the story, "wasn't thrilled" about the idea of her having a significant other. Um, I wouldn't be too keen on it if it was my girlfriend either -- maybe her boyfriend should put out his own ad for a new Elizabeth Gallagher.

"He understands that I've always wanted to travel, so while he's not happy I'm taking off for nearly a month at Christmas with a random guy, he's smiling through it," she said.

To me this seems so odd. Why the heck would you want to date a girl with the same name as your ex, let alone get stuck in a trip around the world with someone you don't know? Other than having a weird obsession with trying to make the ex jealous -- and for that you need a hotter girl, not one with the same name -- it doesn't make sense. I would have just eaten the ticket and gone by myself.
