Man Dies In Fatal House Fire In Madison Heights
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WWJ) - A fatal fire in Madison Heights is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to a burning home on Alden Street, near Eleven Mile Road and Dequindre, just after 4:30 early Sunday morning. The body of a 61-year-old man was found inside.
Investigators believe the fire started in the utility room, but the cause is still unknown. No one else lived in the home.
An autopsy on the victim will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The man's identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
