Man Dies After Going Missing While Swimming

SUMMIT TWP. (AP) -  Authorities say an 18-year-old man has died after going missing while swimming in Vandercook Lake in southern Michigan.

MLive.com reports Kwatez Hardrick of Jackson was pronounced dead at a hospital Monday after being found by crews from Jackson County's Summit Township. They responded after a report a swimmer was having trouble. He was found after a roughly 25 minute search.

On Sunday, authorities say crews recovered the body of 17-year-old Jhalak Bhattarai of Kentwood from Gun Lake in West Michigan's Barry County. He was reported missing on Saturday after jumping off a boat.
